Zi Wei Dou Shu vs Bazi: Which One Should You Actually Read?
One is a palace map of life domains, the other is a timing model. If you are choosing, choose by the question you are asking — not by which sounds more accurate.

What Zi Wei does well
Zi Wei places stars in twelve palaces, so it is naturally good at domain questions: which area of life carries the load, how relationships and career interact, where support comes from.
It is weaker on timing precision. Two people with similar palaces can have very different years, and the palace map alone will not tell you which year matters.

What Bazi does well
Bazi is built from stems and branches, so it handles cycles better: decade luck, annual influence, seasonal emphasis. It answers 'when' more directly than 'which domain.'
Its weakness is abstraction. Without careful reading, 'strong day master, needs water' tells a beginner nothing they can act on.
How to choose
If your question is about a specific domain — should I change careers, is this relationship workable — start with Zi Wei.
If your question is about timing — should I move this year or next — start with Bazi. Reading both is fine, but decide which one is answering before you compare them.
